Masashi Tsunokake Tetsuyu Tea Pot
Introducing a tea pot (kyusu in Japanese) from artist Masashi Tsunokake. Masashi Tsunokake is a Tokoname, Japan based potter and has been producing his hand made goods since 1992. Tokoname prefecture is one of the six ancient kilns (Bizen, Echizen, Seto, Shigaraki, Tamba) of Japan.
The black tea pot is called “Tetsuyu” which uses a high porosity clay and a volcanic ash finish with a rough surface.
These are truly unique and a special gift or collection piece for discerning Japanese tea ware collectors.
